Hemingway and Minta seal 2026 TrialGB titles

Beta riders Harry Hemingway and Alice Minta secured the respective 2026 ACU TrialGB and TrialGB Women Championships after a tense finale at Geddington today (13 September).

The Northamptonshire venue provided a challenging course for the final round of the series, with huge rocks and steep climbs in the wooded areas being made even more treacherous thanks to Autumn rainfall. A maximum entry of 93 riders completed two laps of 12 observed sections at this CL Events fixture. See the full results and gallery at the event page HERE.

TrialGB Championship

As expected, the battling Hemingway brothers, Harry the elder, and George the younger, took the race for the championship all the way to wire on the second day of competition.

George was the dominant rider on day one, but Harry (pictured above) peaked when he needed to 24 hours later. He beat his younger sibling by a single mark to win the 2026 title and secure the second TrialGB title of his career.

With four wins each, the Hemingways have dominated all year but Harry gained the edge – and the TrialGB title – by virtue of his hat-trick of second-place finishes.

In the fight to be the best Sherco rider, it was Jack Peace who came good when it mattered. The outgoing TrialGB Champion finished third overall with Harry Turner just five points in arrears.

Championship positions
1. Harry Hemingway (Beta) 146; 2. George Hemingway (Beta) 140; 3. Jack Peace (Sherco) 114; 4. Harry Turner (Sherco) 109; 5. Jack Dance (GASGAS) 83; 6. Billy Green (Scorpa) 75; 7. Jamie Galloway (TRRS) 67; 8. Alfie Lampkin (Vertigo) 66; 9 Ben Dignan (Sherco) 52.

TrialGB Women Championship

Defending champion Minta has had another strong year, and two wins at Geddington ensured she added another TrialGB Women title to her record. She finished the season with seven wins and a single second-place to her name.

Consistency gave Minta the winning edge in 2026. Kaytlyn Adshead (Vertigo) tried all she knew to raise her game but slowly the title fight slipped away from her. A big crash on day one at Geddington must have unnerved her and she will be disappointed having to retire on the second day.

Alicia Robinson (Beta) has had another good year to finish third in front of a battling Nikita Smith (Scorpa).

 Championship positions
1. Alice Minta (Beta) 157; 2. Kaytlyn Adshead (Vertigo) 122; 3. Alicia Robinson (Beta) 118; 4. Nikita Smith (Scorpa) 108; 5. Matilda Arbon (Sherco) 77; 6. Sophie Bailey (GASGAS) 75; 7. Alisha Harry (Beta) 18.

Trial2 Championship

Coming good in the later part of the season was the key to a successful Trial2 title defence for Jack Spencer (Beta) and he finished the job in style with a pair of wins at Geddington.

Looking good to challenge him early on was Duncan MacColl (Beta), but a broken ankle after rounds one and two spoiled his year, although he returned this weekend.

Oliver Smith (Scorpa) let an inconsistent year interrupt his championship aspirations as he finished second overall with two wins during the season.

With third place already secured in the championship, Harison Skelton (Scorpa) made the decision to miss round eight as he tried his luck as a guest rider in the Trial GB Championship.

 Championship positions
1. Jack Spencer (Beta) 145; 2. Oliver Smith (Scorpa) 136; 3. Harison Skelton (Scorpa) 96; 4. Connor Hogan (GASGAS) 77; 5. Tom Affleck (Scorpa) 77; 6. Bill Reeves (TRRS) 74; 7. Daniel De Breo (GASGAS) 68; 8. Duncan MacColl (Beta) 61; 9. Hugo Jervis (Beta) 52; 10. Max Golla (GASGAS) 48.

Trial2 Women Championship

No one could have predicted that the tie break decider would have to come into play as the eventual championship winner Summer Peters (Scorpa) and Holly Dixon (Beta) finished on the same number of points after Geddington.

Summer struggled in the wet during the final round which dropped her to third on the day, but her hard work during the season was enough to earn her the 2026 title.

A strong finish to the year elevated Seren Walters (TRRS) up to the final podium position. She ended the season two points ahead of Brianna King (GASGAS).

Championship positions
1. Summer Peters (Scorpa) 145; 2. Holly Dixon (Beta) 145; 3. Seren Walters (TRRS) 116; 4. Brianna King (GASGAS) 114.

Expert Championship

Despite a loss of form at the final two rounds, a consistent year was enough to secure the Expert title for a delighted Charlie Smith on Saturday at Geddington (Vertigo).

As Brett Harbud (TRRS) struggled to find his form in the final few rounds, Joshua McParland (Beta) came good with two wins at Geddington to leap frog him into the runner-up position in the overall standings.

Ten-time FIM Trial Women’s World Champion Emma Bristow missed two rounds but still showed she is a force to be reckoned with in the class. She finished fifth overall and was the best Sherco rider in this male-dominated class.

 Championship positions
1. Charlie Smith (Vertigo) 122; 2. Joshua McParland (Beta) 103; 3. Brett Harbud (TRRS) 91; 4. Elliot Laws (Scorpa) 90; 5. Emma Bristow (Sherco) 75; 6. Cameron Brice (Sherco) 74; 7. Luke Walker (Sherco) 68; 8. George Clark (Beta) 64; 9. Joe Snelling (Sherco) 63; 10. Sean Robinson (Beta) 62.

Trial3 Championship

It has been a super year for the young and enthusiastic Mason Vasey (GASGAS) who wrapped up the Trial3 title on day one at Geddington. Koby Smith (Beta) had been a constant challenger to Mason and he was the only rider to beat him in 2026. But a non-appearance at the final round dropped him to fifth overall.

George Jones (Sherco) has been a consistent performer all season and his strong finish to the year moved him up to second overall.

Scotland’s much-travelled Archie Bremner (Sherco) will be happy with third overall and the bronze medal as he finished just two points in front of the determined Ollie Gundry (Sherco).

 Championship positions
1. Mason Vasey (GASGAS) 157; 2. George Jones (TRRS) 120; 3. Archie Bremner (Sherco) 104; 4. Ollie Gundry (Sherco) 101; 5. Koby Smith (Beta) 97; 6. Kai Fisher (TRRS) 79; 7. Richie Keet (Sherco) 61; 8. Zachary Ellway (Beta) 59; 9. Liam Barker (Beta) 56; 10. Edward Mowat (GASGAS) 53.

Trial3 Women Championship

Niki Louis (TRRS) took the 2026 title in style on Saturday. Another win on day two gave her a clear championship advantage over Kayleigh Rich (TRRS) who did not compete at Geddington.

Joining Niki in the class for the third and fourth rounds of the season were Sarah Turner (Beta) who won the bronze medal. Tasha Fairhurst (Vertigo) made an appearance at the final rounds in Northamptonshire.

 Championship positions
1. Niki Louis (TRRS) 148; 2. Kayleigh Rich (TRRS) 80, 3. Sarah Turner (Beta) 60; 4. Carrie Dickinson (GASGAS) 49; 5. Tasha Fairhurst (Vertigo) 32.

Trial3 Girls Championship

The introduction of this new class for 2026 delivered a brilliant battle that went down to the wire for title contenders Sophie Sellers (Beta) and Rosy Connor (Beta).

The duo were very evenly matched all season, but it was Sophie who finished in front of Rosy by just six marks at the final round to give her the win and the Trial3 Girls title by a four-point margin.

Chloe Butler (Sherco) and Lilly Butterworth (TRRS) were engaged in the fight for the final podium position with the difference only ten points in Chloe’s favour after the eight rounds were completed.

 Championship positions
1. Sophie Sellers (Beta) 143; 2. Rosy Connor (Beta) 139; 3. Chloe Butler (Sherco) 100; 4. Lilly Butterworth (TRRS) 90; 5. Sophie Ferguson (Beta) 70.

Trial4 Championship

A delighted Hudson Ravenhill-White (Sherco) signed off his last year of competing in this class with a win on day one to secure the Trial4 crown with a round in hand. Again, he was in top form to take an easy victory on day one, parting with just a single mark as Tommy Keet followed him home on ten marks lost.

With Hudson taking the option to compete in the Trial3 class on day two at Geddington, there was a new Trial4 winner in Harvey Sanders (GASGAS). Tommy Keet (Sherco) took one win on the way to second overall in front of Samuel Le Fevre.

Having contested the last six rounds on a GASGAS, Samual was out on a Sherco for the final two rounds. He took third and second at Geddington to secure third in the final standings.

 Championship positions
1. Hudson Ravenhill-White (Sherco) 137; 2. Tommy Keet (Sherco) 125; 3. Samuel Le Fevre (GASGAS/Sherco) 114; 4. Mason Tidd (TRRS) 104; 5. Daniel Adcock (GASGAS) 84; 6. Howard Mumford (GASGAS) 79; 7.
