The ACU Trial GB British Motorcycle Trials Championship resumes for round 3 which will take place at the fantastic Rock N Hop venue on the 18th August.
The Ripon Motor Club are delighted to be hosting ACU Talon Trial GB at Rock N Hop for the third year running, however that is not all they are hosting over the weekend.
The club have worked extremely hard to not only host the adult championship round but to also provide an action-packed weekend catered to all Trials enthusiasts.
The weekends preceding’s start on Friday 16th August where the club will run their Junior Klickstart event before moving into Saturday morning there will be the Youth Superstar Trial followed by section inspection for the adult riders and yet another Klickstart event this time for the Junior age group that will go on into the evening.
The Ripon Motor Club was founded in 1909 and has been the Clubman’s Club for many years but more recently the Club has been evolving and trying to push the sport in the right direction catering for all levels and ages.
The club run many youth events for children from the age of four through their ‘Acklams Beta Summer Series’ and ‘Riverside Quarry Easy Clubman and Beginners Series’. The club host an annual Youth Training Weekend, along with Rounds of the OSET CUP, Youth Superstar Trial, Klickstart Obstacle Trials and even the Fancy-Dress Halloween Trial.
The club is passionate about the future stars of our sport and want to offer them events to enjoy and build their confidence and ability to then move into the adult courses.
Club secretary Sarah Laws says “Ripon Motor Club are now proving that we can put on events for riders of all abilities. Some riders that have never ridden a trial before on our Beginner series and now run very successful British Rounds for the best riders in the Country and the World Round riders too.
We have an action-packed weekend planned for you so please come for the whole weekend, camp over at this beautiful venue, enjoy the lovely views of North Yorkshire, enjoy walking around the many trade stands and stalls, food and drink vendors and enjoy watching the children participating in the old-style Kickstart trials that used to be on the TV many years ago”

Clerk of the Course for this event is the very experienced and knowledgeable Joel Sadler who has planned some great new sections on the Sunday which is sure to test the countries finest trials athletes to their fullest.
